Dean Stoneman joined motorsport’s elite in Monaco for the FIA’s annual Prize Giving Gala to pick up the official FIA award which officially crowned him as the 2010 Formula Two Champion.

The 20-year old from Southampton rubbed shoulders with leading F1 drivers including this year’s World Champion Sebastian Vettel, who picked up the F1 award.

Stoneman horoughly enjoyed being at the event. “What an evening, It has been amazing to be here amongst the best drivers in world motorsport and key people in F1. I enjoyed talking to some of my favourite drivers including Mark Webber.” To be recognised alongside Vettel, Alonso and Webber is a dream for me at this stage of my career.”

The Gala Prize Giving capped off a tremendous year for the Brit. This recent award follows him receiving the BRDC John Cobb Trophy last week; an award previous held by Lewis Hamilton. Dean was also a nominee for the 2010 Autosport Rookie of the Year.
